Another Castiel painting. (I know I am drawing him a lot.. bear with me please!) This took a really super long time. Loved working on the wings though.
There's a lot of symbolism in this piece... I'm tempted to explain it all, but I wanna instead ask you guys what you think? What do you think it means? (: I'd like to hear.

I'm getting a liiiittle tired of all this realism/semi-realism now.. I'm gonna go back to drawing my usual style and/or my own characters next, I think.

Castiel is from Supernatural.

First of all:this looks amazing....
Here's my interpretation

:
On the left there is an "Ankh",right?It seems to me that Egyptian gods are often depicted with the Ankh in hand, chest, or on their knees, as Horus in the papyrus of Ani. The Ankh, which means "life", was the symbol of eternity. The man who turns to God. Well,poor Novak turned into a vessel and then Castiel became a God.That part of the stairs is all enlighted but the other part is in ruin and going down...because after becoming God,Cas knew an escalation of violence and became very different.And that thing pouring from his wings...at first I thought it was like lava flow and it reminded me of Hell but then I wondered if it is his Grace slipping away...
